Industry - Workforce Certification Academy© Training

North Carolina Career Readiness Certificate (NC CRC) - Show employers that you have the skills necessary to be successful in a particular job with this certificate that is recognized across state borders. Earn your NC CRC in one of PCC's free orientation classes!

BioWork Process Technician - Train for a career in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and chemical manufacturing! This course brings together the basics of manufacturing technology and the fundamentals of science!

Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) - The CLT training provides two national credentials; Certified Logistics Associate and a mid-level Certified Logistics Technician. These certifications are nationally validated skills standards which prepare individuals for front-line jobs in material handling, manufacturing factories, warehouses, distribution centers, and transportation.

Certified Production Technician (CPT) - The CPT course provides training for national certification in four areas: Safety Awareness, Manufacturing Processes, Quality Practices, and Maintenance Awareness.

Green Production - Green Production is defined as workplace activities across all industries within the manufacturing sector that require the use of equipment, technologies, and processes that will improve the environmental performance of manufacturing companies. The GPM Certificate expands far beyond just workers in green product sites (e.g., wind, solar equipment producers).

OSHA 10 - The OSHA 10 certification course for General Industry provides training for entry level workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in the workplace.

OSHA Forklift - This course provides instruction on the operation and maintenance of an industrial forklift. Core topics include forklift design, controls and instrumentation, pre-use inspection, safety awareness, and forklift stability. This course meets the training requirements for OSHA regulations.

Siemens Level I - Mechatronics focuses on the integration of mechanical, electrical, fluid power (hydraulics or pneumatics), and computer technologies to control machine movements. Students begin with courses in Mechanical Components, Senors, Basic Electronical Components, Pneumatics, Control Logic and Robot Programming Control. Upon successful completion of the Siemens Mechatronics Program courses, students take the Siemens Level 1 Certification Exam and are eligible to obtain college credit by examination.

Electrical Contractors – Offered annually in the Spring semester, the Electrical Contractors courses is designed to provide electrical contractors with updated information on the latest changes in the National Electric Code and NC Electric Code requirements.

Notary Public - PCC offers Notary Public instruction required for commissioning as a notary in North Carolina. This course is offered regularly in Person and Caswell counties and provides information about legal, ethical, and procedural requirements of notarial acts.
