PURPOSE OF POSITION

Administrative senior position responsible for managing overall business and financial services including Business Office, Personnel Office, Information Technology, Facilities Maintenance (including construction and renovations), Campus Safety and other auxiliary enterprises. Responsible for managing internal and outsourced vendor agreements and preparing county and state budgets. Ensures regulations and guidelines are followed for effective business controls.  Coordinate and assist with financial audits.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience and Knowledge

Requires Master’s degree in Business Administration or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution; 5 years’ experience as financial manager or  in senior-level community college administrative services. Knowledge of operation of the NC Community College System, accounting degree, and familiarity with NC State Construction and employment law issues preferred.

 

SALARY           $90,000-$105,000 for 12-month position with benefits

State Health Plan Options: Traditional 70/30 Plan employer-paid coverage, Enhanced 80/20 Plan employee-paid coverage for employee with premium credits (determines monthly premium/employee pays all dependent coverage) and Consumer Directed Health Plan with premium credits (determines monthly premium) made up of two components: a high deductible health plan and a Health Reimbursement Account (employee pays all dependent coverage). Membership in the Teachers’ and State Employees’ Retirement System which includes retirement benefits, short and long-term disability income plan and a death benefit; earn sick and annual leave; community service leave; other: employee-paid supplemental retirement plans and insurances: dental, vision, life, accident, disability, cancer insurance. Paid holidays as established by the College.
