Join Piedmont Community College (PCC) for one of two Open House events and take a tour of either campus. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn about tuition, financial aid, and new opportunities such as transferable summer classes and night classes starting this fall.

There are two Open House events. The first will be held on Tuesday, March 21 on the Person County Campus in D-120. The second event will be on Wednesday, March 22 on the Caswell County Campus in K-202. Both events will be held from 5-7p.m., allowing potential students to opportunity to drop in anytime during the two-hour event.

Summer classes at PCC this summer include courses that transfer to 4-year colleges and universities in North Carolina*. This opportunity makes it easier for students enrolled in or enrolling in a 4-year school to gain 3-6 credits over the summer while at home. These transferable classes are also offered at a fraction of the cost.

Summer classes that transfer include:
• BIO-111 – General Biology I – internet
• ECO-251 – Principles of Microeconomics – internet
• ECO-252 – Principles of Macroeconomics – internet
• ENG-111 – Writing and Inquiry – M/W, 8-10:50 a.m.
• ENG-112 – Writing and Research in the Discipline – internet
• MAT 143 – Quantitative Literacy – T/TH, 2:30 – 4:20 p.m.
• MAT 152 – Statistical Methods I – internet
• MUS 110 – Music Appreciation – T/TH, 9 – 11:50 a.m.
• SOC-220 – Social Problems – internet
* Students are encouraged to work with their college/university counselor to guarantee the PCC courses will transfer for full credit.

Current high school seniors who graduate after June 5 are eligible to take summer classes at PCC through the Career and College Promise (CCP) program at no cost. To learn more about this opportunity, contact Katrina Madden at (336) 694-4212, ext. 213 or Katrina.Madden@piedmontcc.edu in Caswell County or Suzanne Beshears (336) 599-8321, ext. 20012 or Suzanne.Beshears@piedmontcc.edu in Person County.

Piedmont Community College offers more than 30 programs for students to choose from, including transfer, health occupations, technical, business, public safety, human services, and emerging technologies.

In addition to having convenient locations, PCC also offers a more affordable way to further your education. A three (3) credit summer class costs under $270 at Piedmont Community College (compared to over $860 at a nearby 4-year university). Taking two summer classes at PCC will save a student over $1,200!
