Web Assistance

It is the responsibility of all web content contributors at Piedmont Community College to follow best practices to ensure our content is accessible to all audiences, including persons with disabilities. There are a number of features built into our website that help make our pages accessible to a broad range of visitors. However, true accessibility does not happen without the knowledge, skill, and diligence of all our Web editors.

The College uses the Content Managment System (CMS), DNN Platform. DNN Platform (formerly "DotNetNuke Community Edition" content management system) is open source software that is intended to allow management of websites without much technical knowledge, and to be extensible through a large number of third-party apps to provide functionality not included in the DNN core modules. The College website currently runs on version 7.3.1, which is the most stable instance of version 7.

Content contributors can easily update and publish content to existing websites from a web browser, without any additional software installation requirements, but are trained numouers times per year by the Public Information and Marketing Office.
