Industry - Workforce Certification Academy© Training

National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) - Show employers that you have the skills necessary to be successful in a particular job with this certificate that is recognized across state borders. Earn your NCRC in PCC's employability lab today!

 

Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) - The CLT training provides you with two national credentials; Certified Logistics Associate and a mid-level Certified Logistics Technician. These certifications are nationally validated skills standards which prepares you for front-line jobs in material handling, manufacturing factories, warehouses, distribution centers, and transportation.

Certified Production Technician (CPT) - You will receive training for national certification in four areas: Safety Awareness, Manufacturing Processes, Quality Practices, and Maintenance Awareness.

BioWork Process Technician - You will develop marketable skills for manufacturing technicians in the Biotech field. Bio-process technicians are involved in the making of products such as antibiotics, bleach, cosmetics, deodorant, detergents, paint, plastics, Post-It notes, shampoo, soft drinks and wine. BioWork certifications are in demand in the triad area!

 

OSHA Forklift - You will receive instruction on the operation and maintenance of an industrial forklift. Core topics include forklift design, controls and instrumentation, pre-use inspection, safety awareness, and forklift stability. This course meets the training requirements for OSHA regulations.

Advanced Manufacturing and Automation - Mechatronics focuses on the integration of mechanical, electrical, fluid power (hydraulics or pneumatics), and computer technologies to control machine movements. You will begin with courses in Mechanical Components, Sensors, Basic Electronical Components, Pneumatics, Control Logic and Robot Programming Control. Upon successful completion of the Siemens Mechatronics Program courses, you will take the Siemens Level 1 Certification Exam (for an INTERNATIONAL credential!) and are eligible to obtain college credit by examination. This allows you to fast-track into an associate degree program in a related subject (i.e. Mechatronics and Industrial Systems).

The Programmable Logic Controllers Technician (PLC) Certificate program provides the basic technical skills and knowledge necessary to work with programmable logic control systems found typically in an industrial/manufacturing environment. The program covers the operation of various PLC control systems including both discrete and analog control devices.

HVAC Technician - Gain the skills necessary to become employed as an HVAC Technician! You will interact with operating systems and construction materials for hands-on learning!

Notary Public - PCC offers Notary Public instruction required for commissioning as a notary in North Carolina. This course is offered regularly in Person and Caswell counties and provides information about legal, ethical, and procedural requirements of notarial acts.

Truck Driver - PCC’s truck driver training program consists of extensive classroom, range, and behind-the-wheel instruction to prepare you for the Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) skills examination. This test will be provided and administered at the completion of the course.

Phlebotomy Technician - This course provides theory and clinical experiences needed for the proper collection of blood and other specimens used for diagnostic testing. Emphasis is placed on ethics, legalities, medical terminology, safety and universal precautions, health care delivery systems, patient relations, anatomy and physiology, and specimen collection.

Cardiovascular Technician - This course prepares you to become a certified EKG (ECG) Technician.  The 120 hr. course covers the anatomy and physiology of the heart as it relates to cardiac rhythm interpretations, principles of EKG, rhythm recognition of sinus, atrial junctional, ventricular, pacemaker, and heart block rhythms.
