Piedmont Community College (PCC) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $475,000 competitive grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) to strengthen and expand its Advanced Technological Education.

The funded project, FutureForce: AI Cyber Workforce Initiative, will provide cutting-edge training in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence, ensuring that PCC remains at the forefront of preparing students for the workforce of today and tomorrow.

“This achievement reflects the dedication and vision of our incredible faculty and staff,” Dr. Kevin Lee, PCC President, said. “I want to especially thank Chris S. Davis (Director/Instructor, Information Technology), Dr. Syed Raza (former Instructor, Cybersecurity), Janet Bottoms (Instructor, Web Technologies), Dr. Shawnee Seese (Director, College and Career Readiness and Continuing Education Programs) and all who contributed their expertise and hard work to make this initiative possible.”

“This grant is more than an investment in PCC—it is an investment in our community’s future,” Lee continued. “At PCC, we are committed to leading with innovation and delivering transformative training that empowers students and strengthens our community and region.”
