Golfers gathered to make a difference at the 34th annual Piedmont Community College (PCC) Foundation Golf Classic on November 19 at Treyburn Country Club raising $45,000 in support of student scholarships and programs.

The tournament consisted of 24 teams and was played in a captain’s choice format. Enbridge Gas North Carolina was the Pacer Sponsor for the tournament. Their sponsorship not only supported the tournament, but also provides a $1,000 scholarship to a student for the spring 2025 semester.

The team sponsored by GKN secured first-place, with Talbert Building Supply’s team earning second place. The third-place finish went the team sponsored by Enbridge Gas North Carolina and Dr. H. James Owen.

“The PCC Foundation Golf Classic showcases the power of community coming together to support education and opportunity,” Catherine English, PCC Foundation Executive Director said. “We are truly grateful to all the sponsors, players and volunteers who made this event a success and helped brighten futures for Piedmont Community College students through scholarships and programs.”

The 35th annual golf classic has been scheduled for September 16, 2025. For more information on ways to support the PCC Foundation, visit www.piedmontcc.edu/foundation.
