Piedmont Community College’s (PCC) Global Scholars recently took the stage to present their capstone projects, marking the culmination of their journey through the Global Distinction program.
Students Dakota Miles, Robert Bumpass, Maritsa Gonzalez, Emerie Miller, Victoria West, Taylor Brockman, and Jonathan Tulloh shared reflections from their time in the program including what they learned and their favorite experiences.
The Global Distinction program at PCC enhances students’ global awareness through coursework, cultural events and a final presentation. The students’ projects reflected diverse global perspectives and demonstrated a deep understanding of international issues and cultures.
“This group of scholars has made my first year as a Global Distinction advisor incredibly meaningful and memorable,” Katharine Currin, PCC Business Administration Instructor and Global Distinction co-advisor said. “They embody the spirit of the program through their curiosity, collaboration and commitment to growth. While we hope we have supported their learning, I know we have learned just as much from them along the way.”
