Piedmont Community College (PCC) honored graduates of its Medical Assisting program during a pinning ceremony held on May 4 in the Barnette Auditorium on the Person County Campus.

With family, friends, faculty, staff and administration in attendance, graduates received their pins and recited the Medical Assisting Creed.

Jennifer Clark, Family Nurse Practitioner at Roxboro MedPeds, was the guest speaker for the ceremony.

“Some of the most impactful, dedicated and inspiring people I have ever worked with have been medical assistants,” Clark said. “Not because the job is easy, but because it isn’t. It takes heart, it takes resilience and it takes deep commitment to caring for others.”

The Medical Assisting graduates are as follows: Julie Davis, Cecelia Graves, Toccara Hall, Anisha Hawley, Isley Hawley, Amanda Howle, Brittany Manns, Brittany Mcgee, Mo’Neisha O’Briant, Chelsea Smith, Terri Tucker.

The Medical Assisting curriculum prepares multi-skilled health care professionals qualified to perform administrative, clinical and laboratory procedures in the outpatient medical office setting. For more information about PCC’s Medical Assisting program, visit piedmontcc.edu/medicalassisting.
