Golfers gathered to make a difference at the 36th Annual Piedmont Community College (PCC) Foundation Golf Classic presented by Legacy Building Company on September 15 at Treyburn Country Club. The tournament raised a record $62,375 in revenue, with proceeds benefiting student scholarships and other initiatives that strengthen opportunities for PCC students.
The tournament featured 30 teams competing in a captain’s choice format, creating a day of friendly competition while raising critical funds for the College. Legacy Building Company served as the tournament’s presenting sponsor, providing significant support to make the event possible.
Enbridge Gas NC served as the Awards & Lunch Reception sponsor. Their sponsorship not only supported the tournament but also provides a $1,000 scholarship to a student for the Spring 2027 semester.
The team sponsored by Elliott Electric claimed first place, followed by the Joe Weinberger, Jr. Attorney-at-Law team in second place and the team sponsored by Stephen L. Wilson, CPA, PA in third.
The tournament also featured an impressive and rare accomplishment on the course. Cody Spencer and Michael Puryear, both members of the Elliott Electric team, each recorded a hole-in-one on hole 13, adding an exciting highlight to an already memorable day of competition.
