The course offers hands-on experience in safely foraging and growing mushrooms. Students will be introduced to the basic skills needed to identify many species of wild mushrooms to determine if they are edible, non-edible or toxic.

Students will also be taught various techniques in cultivating on logs and wheat straw, chainsaw skills and how to demonstrate proper techniques to grow their own mushroom spawn.

The course will be taught by Luke Bernard, Agribusiness Technology Coordinator/Instructor. The registration fee of $70 must be paid prior to the course start date. No textbooks will be needed for this course.
