In the spring of 2023, the National Student Clearing House Research Center noted a 0.5% increase in enrollment at two-year community colleges, marking the first time in years that schools saw even modest growth; the decline in enrollment exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a recent analysis of 845 community colleges across the country by SmartAsset™, Piedmont Community College ranks 15 nationally and sixth among North Carolina Community Colleges based on their student-to-faculty ratios, retention rates, and the cost of tuition and fees.
