Through his current endeavor as a consultant and coach of the Shackleford Leadership Institute, Dr. Bob Shackleford, former president of Randolph Community College (RCC), recently visited Piedmont Community College (PCC) to inspire the College’s Executive Council, Deans, and Directors.

Two sessions, “Characteristics of a High Performing Team” and “The Truth About Change,” delivered thought-provoking presentations for those in attendance to reflect on their leadership skills and the positive impacts of having an opportunity-based plan, respectively.

“We are excited to have Dr. Shackleford speak to us this morning,” stated Dr. Pamela G. Senegal, PCC President. “His depth of knowledge concerning leadership is second to none.”

After he retired from RCC in June 2022, Shackleford launched the Institute to continue his lifelong passion for leadership training. His distinguished career includes developing a Student Leadership Academy at RCC, teaching leadership studies at High Point University, and leadership training for military commanders as chaplain, among others. He’s also a proud native of Person County.

Thank you, Dr. Bob Shackleford, for enriching our College’s team.
