The Piedmont Community College (PCC) Foundation is pleased to announce a generous grant award of $10,000 from Roxboro Savings Bank for the College’s Small Business Center’s Building Opportunities on Saving and Training (BOOST) program.

The BOOST program, initially launched with the support of Roxboro Savings Bank, has made a significant impact on small businesses since its inception. Over the past year, BOOST funding has benefited three small businesses in Person and Caswell Counties, helping local entrepreneurs expand their operations, purchase equipment and strengthen their businesses.

“The Piedmont Community College Small Business Center is grateful for Roxboro Savings Bank’s ongoing commitment to small business development,” Grayson Brann, PCC Small Business Director, said. “Their partnership not only ensures that entrepreneurs in the area receive vital training but that they also gain financial support to bring their ideas to life. BOOST continues to prove that when we invest in local entrepreneurs, we invest in the future of Person and Caswell counties. We are creating long-term economic impact one business at a time.”

“Roxboro Savings Bank is proud to support aspiring small business owners in our community,” Keith Epstein, Roxboro Savings Bank Executive Vice President and CEO, said. “PCC provides invaluable training and assistance to these entrepreneurs and the opportunity to collaborate with the college’s small business center on the BOOST program is a privilege.”

The BOOST program equips entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed by offering training seminars, personalized counseling and financial assistance. Participants are required to complete training sessions in business planning and finance, as well as demonstrate a commitment to saving for their business ventures. Upon completion, their savings are matched dollar-for-dollar to a maximum of $1,000, providing a significant boost to their operations.

This latest donation from Roxboro Savings Bank enables more small businesses to thrive. These funds will directly impact local businesses, promoting economic growth and sustainability across the region.
