Piedmont Community College (PCC) has partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina to host a mobile pantry on the Caswell County Campus on Tuesday, July 23 and Tuesday, July 30 starting at 9 a.m. until all food is distributed.

This partnership aims to continue supporting the fight against food insecurity in Caswell County. Second Harvest Food Bank staff will be available to offer SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) application assistance and host an interactive nutrition activity and fresh produce giveaway.

PCC previously hosted a mobile food pantry on July 16 and served 100 families. The success of the event led PCC and Second Harvest Food Bank to partner for two additional events.

“This event will be a one-stop shop,” Edna Brown, Director, Student Development, Caswell County Campus said. “Fill up your pantry for free and learn about admissions information to join the Pacer Nation.”

PCC staff will also be available to share educational materials, promote FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) completion and offer assistance with college admission and registration. For more information about the mobile food pantry, contact Edna Brown, Director, Student Development, Caswell County Campus at (336) 694-8046.
