Piedmont Community College (PCC) is proud to congratulate Emily Buchanan, Director of Caswell County Campus Operations, on her successful completion of the Branch Campus Leadership Institute with the National Association of Branch Campus Administrators during the 2023-2024 academic year.

This prestigious program equips leaders with the knowledge and skills to enhance the operations and growth of branch campuses. Buchanan’s dedication to professional development and commitment to excellence reflects her strong leadership, and we are excited to see the positive impact she will continue to make at the Caswell County Campus and throughout the college community.

Bridging the gap between theory and practice, the Branch Campus Leadership Institute helps attendees gain the leadership knowledge and skills needed to make a positive impact on higher education.

The leadership program provided through the Branch Campus Leadership Institute is an eight-month program that culminates with a capstone presentation given at the National Association of Branch Campus Administrators (NABCA) annual conference.  The capstone project brings to bear the analytic abilities, professional understanding and contextual knowledge accrued and sharpened throughout the program and closely mirrors the challenges found in modern-day higher education. Buchanan’s successful capstone project showcased how community-based programs can positively impact college program enrollments.
