Who may qualify for VA Education benefits?

  • Veterans
  • Disabled veterans that were discharged from active duty for a service-connected disability
  • Eligible dependents (children or spouses)
  • Children or spouses of Total 7 Permanent disabled veterans whose death or disability occurred while in military service
  • Eligible Reservists or National Guard
  • Armed Forces servicemembers must have entered service on or before July 1st, 1985 and contributed toward their education under the Montgomery GI Bill®

Applying for VA Education Benefits

  • Complete your online application for benefits at https://www.va.gov/education/how-to-apply/
  • Complete your application for PCC Admissions
    • Submit high school and all college transcripts
  • Submit your Certificate of Eligibility to the Financial Aid Office
  • Complete the Enrollment Verification Form for the semester that you wish to attend

NC National Guard Tuition Assistance

  • Must have received approval from Educational Service Office (ESO) from their assigned duty station
  • For further assistance please contact the Financial Aid Office

VA Student Requirements

  • Must pursue exact curriculum for you selected program as listed in the PCC catalog.
    • Students cannot be certified for classes outside of their chosen program
  • Report any course or schedule changes to your School Certifying Official
