Pacer Advising Pre-Registration Conferences – Happening Now!

Academic advising pre-registration conferences are happening now! Check out the FAQ below for
need-to-know information about summer and fall registration.

What is the difference between pre-registration and registration?

Pre-registration occurs a few weeks before registration officially opens for the upcoming term. This is an
opportunity for you to meet with your advisor, plan courses, review your program progress toward graduation and more.

What happens during a pre-registration advising conference?

During pre-registration advising conferences, your advisor will help you load classes into your Self-Service
Course Plan, AKA your shopping cart. Once registration officially begins, you’ll be able to Register, AKA
checkout, your classes to confirm your enrollment.

How do I register for my classes? When?

Starting November 12, you’ll be able to log into Self-Service to register for your summer and fall classes.
You can use the Self-Service Student Guide linked here to walk you through registration steps starting on
page 18. This guide can also be found on the Pacer Advising webpage under Student Resources.

How can I meet with my academic advisor?

Students can schedule appointments up to 2 weeks in advance on the Pacer Advising webpage:
www.piedmontcc.edu/advising. Select Find My Advisor/Schedule Appointment to locate your advisor and
book an appointment. Or stop by one of our locations during PCC’s business hours and an advisor will be
happy to assist you.
