COURSE DETAILS

*Theory/Lab: Classes meet face-to-face on campus Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1–4 p.m., with additional required weekly online coursework completed through Moodle. Please click the link below to view the full course schedule.

Fall 2026 Cardiovascular Tech Course Outline

*Hybrid Format: This course is delivered in a hybrid format, combining face-to-face instruction with online learning (more than 50% online). Students will attend scheduled classroom sessions and are expected to complete online assignments independently outside of class. Reliable internet access is required.

Prerequisite: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency

This program is offered as a short-term Workforce Development course through Continuing Education and is not eligible for FAFSA funding. Students are responsible for covering course costs out of pocket, securing assistance through a third-party funding source, or applying for a scholarship. CREDENTIALING EXAM

  • $134 – NHA EKG Technician Certification Exam
  • Students will be sent more information on scheduling their exam after the completion of the course.
  • Exam fee is paid directly to NHA and paid at least 10 days before testing.
  • Students must complete the course before registering.

FUNDING ASSISTANCE

  • Scholarships are available for Person or Caswell County Residents, of 1 year or more, to cover the registration fee only. The link to apply will be sent via email with your payment instructions once you have been registered for the course.
  • Students residing outside Person and Caswell Counties or those needing assistance to pay for full course are encouraged to contact their local NC Works to find out if they qualify for their services.

Please understand, the registration form is not the financial assistance application. You must follow the directions sent to you in your payment email.
