  • Safety and universal precautions;
  • Healthcare delivery systems;
  • Patient relations;
  • Anatomy and physiology;
  • Specimen collection.

Course Fees

💰 Total Registration Fee: $472
The total registration fee includes the base tuition and required course materials:

  • $180 Base tuition fee
  • $9 Accident & Malpractice Insurance*
  • $5 Technology Fee*
  • $15 BLS CPR Card*
  • $50 Lab Fee*
  • $84 NHA Online Practice Exam & Study Guide*
  • $129 NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Credentialing Exam*

*The course fees listed above are non-refundable if a student withdraws after the course begins but before the census date. To receive a 100% refund, students must officially withdraw prior to the course start date. Students withdrawing after the course start date but before the census date are refunded 75% of the base tuition rate of $180.

Certification Details

  • NHA CPT Certification Exam – Included in registration
    (Voucher issued upon successful course completion)
  • NHA Online Study Materials – Included in registration

Background Check & Drug Screen

$126.20 – Criminal background check and urine drug screen via Verified Credentials.
Students will be required to purchase by week 6. This fee is not included in the registration fee.


Immunization Requirements

All students must provide proof of the following immunizations:

  • Hepatitis B (3-dose series or positive titer)
  • Influenza
  • MMR (2-dose series or positive titer)
  • Tdap (within the last 10 years)
  • Tuberculosis (TB test)
  • Varicella (2-dose series or positive titer)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Waivers are not accepted)

Prerequisites

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Students who will obtain this within 12 months of the exam date may be eligible for Provisional Certification.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:

  • Scholarships are available for Person or Caswell County Residents, of 1 year or more, to cover registration fee only. The link to apply will be sent via email with your payment instructions once you have been registered for the course.
  • Students residing outside Person and Caswell Counties or those needing assistance to pay for full course are encouraged to contact their local NC Works to find out if they qualify for their services.


CLASS WITHDRAWAL/TRANSFER POLICY:  

  • 100% refund if REQUESTED prior to the course beginning or course cancellation
  • 75% refund of base rate ($180) if REQUESTED before the 10% point of the total course meetings.
