This CPC Review Course is an optional but highly recommended next step for students who have completed an outpatient coding program and are preparing to sit for—or retake—the CPC exam.
This is not a beginner-level course. It is intentionally rigorous and mirrors real-world coding scenarios. Students will work with complete medical records across multiple specialties—not short excerpts—and will practice extracting diagnoses, assigning CPT/HCPCS codes, appending modifiers, and applying ICD-10-CM codes with precision. These are the same skills required not only to pass the CPC exam, but to excel in a professional medical coding role, particularly in remote positions.
Course Highlights:
- Work with full medical records in specialties such as cardiology, dermatology, obstetrics, radiology, and oncology
- Code an average of 10 real-world scenarios per chapter, with expectations of completing 2–3 chapters per week
- Strengthen independent study, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Apply official CPT and ICD-10-CM guidelines to complex cases
- Participate in discussion boards covering credentialing, CEUs, job searches, networking, and AAPC resources
Whether you’re seeking to pass the CPC exam with confidence or enhance your skills for the workplace, this course is designed to help you bridge the gap between education and employment. Gain the practical experience, accuracy, and confidence you need to succeed both in the exam room and on the job.
