Piedmont Community College (PCC) is proud to announce its 2025–2026 Student Ambassadors: Heather Starr, Kati Wade and Sha’Torria Torian. These students were selected for their strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills and commitment to representing PCC.

The Student Ambassador Program, sponsored by the PCC Foundation, recognizes students who go above and beyond in their academic and extracurricular pursuits. Candidates complete an application process and interview before a selection committee. Each year, up to three ambassadors are chosen to assist with college events, lead campus tours and serve as role models for their peers. Ambassadors receive a $1,000 scholarship for each semester of service.

Heather Starr recently earned degrees in Accounting & Finance and Business Administration from PCC. She is now completing additional college transfer courses with plans to transfer to a university and earn her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.

Kati Wade is working toward her associate in science degree and plans to transfer to North Carolina State University to study cellular, molecular and developmental biology. She aspires to continue her education and earn a master’s degree in the field.

Sha’Torria Torian is enrolled in PCC’s Practical Nursing (PN) program. After graduation, she plans to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse while pursuing her Associate Degree in Nursing. Her long-term goals include obtaining both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing.

“The Foundation is grateful for funding from the Jacqueline Hall Moore Endowment that helps support the ambassador program,” Tammy Duncan, Interim Executive Director of the Foundation and Gifts Coordinator said. “I am so excited to see these ladies serve the college while growing personally and professionally.”

PCC congratulates these exceptional students on their selection and looks forward to the leadership and energy they will bring to the college community during the 2025–2026 academic year. For more information about PCC’s Student Ambassador Program, visit piedmontcc.edu/studentambassadors.
