Piedmont Community College (PCC) is pleased to announce Dr. April Parsons as the College’s new Vice President of Instruction/Chief Academic Officer (CAO) after a national search was conducted.
Parsons holds a doctorate degree in Comparative Literature, a master’s degree in Language Education and a bachelor’s degree in French. Throughout her career, she has worked at diverse colleges and universities in urban, suburban and rural settings, including nearly 20 years as a faculty member and department chair at CT State – Northwestern in Connecticut. She most recently served as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Greenfield Community College in Massachusetts.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Parsons to the PCC family,” Dr. Kevin Lee, PCC President said. “Her experience and commitment to academic excellence and student success will be invaluable as we continue to expand programs and opportunities for our students and community. Her rich community college experience will be a great asset for PCC.”
Parsons will begin her tenure as PCC’s Vice President of Instruction/CAO on July 1, 2026.
