The Piedmont Community (PCC) Foundation has received a generous $5,000 donation from Taylor Business Products of Roxboro to support the College’s College and Career Readiness (CCR) program.

This contribution will directly benefit CCR students by helping cover exam fees and course registration costs, reducing financial barriers so students can stay on track toward their educational and career goals.

“Taylor Business Products is committed to giving back to our community,” Wilkins said. “We are honored to present this gift to the PCC Foundation to be used to help the students get their GED and then move on to a program that will further their education in order to obtain a great job. Under Dr. Seese’s guidance, this program will flourish and help our community that has a need for the CCR program. We have been blessed here at Taylor Business Products and honored to partner with PCC on this endeavor.”

Dr. Shawnee Seese, director of the CCR program, expressed her appreciation for the donation. As someone who left high school before graduation and later earned her High School Equivalency diploma, Seese brings a unique and personal understanding of the transformative power of the CCR program.

“Piedmont Community College is deeply grateful for the generous donation from Mr. Ray Wilkins of Taylor Business Products in Roxboro,” Seese said. “His contribution will provide meaningful support to students striving to achieve their High School Equivalency diploma and continue their education through workforce development, industry-recognized certifications and degree programs. Mr. Wilkins’ generosity reflects a strong commitment to education, workforce advancement, and community growth. Piedmont Community College sincerely thanks him for investing in the success and future of our students.”
