Piedmont Community College’s (PCC) inaugural Caswell County Nursing class of 2023 achieved a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination, most commonly known as the NCLEX exam.

The NCLEX is the final step for nursing graduates to become registered nurses. PCC’s Nursing faculty worked to make sure the graduates were prepared to pass the exam on the first try. With this achievement, PCC’s Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program has an overall pass rate of 96% for 2023.

This first class of Caswell County Nursing graduates celebrated their graduation from the program during a pinning ceremony on December 11, 2023.

“Our Caswell Nursing Evening/Weekend Cohort proved to be a success,” Dr. Pamela G. Senegal, PCC President said. “I’m so proud of these seven graduates and I look forward to PCC producing more nurses each year now that we are offering nursing on both campuses.”
