Fundamentals of Taxidermy: Basic (Tuition Fee: $199.00)

Considerations:
Students are encouraged to procure their own specimen(s) for training purposes. Specimens such as small and medium game and birds are allowed. Furthermore, for those students who are working on their own specimen(s), forms for mounting purposes and habitat materials will not be provided, as the student will need to purchase these items outside of class. Assistance in selecting forms and habitat materials can be provided upon request.
For those students who are unable to obtain a specimen, the instructor will provide materials such as deer or squirrel capes for limited training opportunities. Students will not be allowed to take home any projects constructed using specimen materials provided by the instructor.
Starter Supply Kit:
It is recommended that all students have the following supplies and tools before entering the class:
- Ball Peen Hammer
- Nickel-Plated Steel Pins, Size 17
- Borax
- 6in Long Nose Pliers
- 6in Slip Joint Pliers
- Replaceable Blade Skinning Knife

This course is for those students who would like to either begin with the basic course or would like to build upon those skills previously learned.
