Piedmont Community College (PCC) is pleased to announce Devra Thomas as the new Director of the Kirby Cultural Arts Complex.
The Kirby is a partnership between PCC and the Person County Department of Recreation, Arts and Parks. Thomas will also serve as the Executive Director of the Person County Arts Council.
“I have served communities across North Carolina through arts and culture programming, and I’m eager to get to know this one,” Thomas remarked. “The Kirby has a long history in the community. I am excited to lead the organization into its next phase of growth.”
Prior to this position, Thomas worked for the North Carolina Literary Review by marketing the quarterly journal and related authors’ work across the state through digital promotion and in-person events. She has experience managing theaters in Cumberland, Carteret, Durham and Orange Counties. She holds a master’s in arts administration from Goucher College.
