Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Exam Review/Prep

You’ve completed the Medical Coding Outpatient course that is required for the CPC (Certified Professional Coder) AAPC exam, but is it enough? Do you feel like you are ready? Have you taken the exam and failed and wish to review prior to retesting? Increase your chances of success with a focused online exam review.

The CPC (Certified Professional Coder) Review class is an optional addition to the Medical Coding Outpatient class, designed to provide a practical approach to coding. It covers a variety of specialties such as cardiology, dermatology, obstetrics, radiology, and oncology, with each chapter presenting an average of 10 real-life cases for coding. Students are expected to complete 2-3 chapters weekly. The course also includes discussion boards that cover topics like credentialing, credentialing agencies, continuing education units (CEUs), job opportunities, and networking. It’s an intensive course aimed at coders seeking to deepen their understanding of guidelines and apply them to real cases, serving as an excellent preparatory step for those pursuing the CPC credential through the AAPC.

*Course has a minimum enrollment requirement of 8 students. This course will be postponed or cancelled if the minimum enrollment is not met by the registration deadline.

Eligibility Requirements & Documentation

To enroll, students must have successfully completed the Medical Billing and Coding courses within the past five years.
Students who did not complete the courses at Piedmont Community College, must submit copies of their unofficial transcript to Lori Watlington via email after submitting their registration form.
Upon approval, students will receive payment instructions.

- 2025 Edition – Valid for testing through December 31, 2025 (available for purchase in December 2024)

Note: Students planning to take the Inpatient Coding credentialing exam may opt for the Facility Coder Bundle instead.

To sit for the credentialing exam, students will need the current year Pro Fee Coder Bundle manuals and AAPC Membership.

Price: $222
Requirement: Membership is required when scheduling the credentialing exam. However, students can decide when to purchase the membership.
Discount: Students who purchase the AAPC membership along with the Coding Manuals are eligible for a discount.
